1043 Evaporative Wick Filter Twin Pack

Two high-capacity wick filters, each sized at ~24.1 x 19.1 x 5.1 cm (9.5 x 7.5 x 2 in), constructed from graded-density filter paper. Intended solely for Essick Air EP9 family units (EP9500, EP9700, EP9800, EP9R500–EP9R800, 821000–831000, SS390DWHT) and Bemis Space Saver 800/8000 evaporative humidifiers. Confirmed replacement for Part # 1043. No additional accessories or hardware included. The layered paper matrix filters coarse sediment first, then progressively finer particulates — including limescale precursors — minimising airborne mineral residue. This contributes to longer internal component life, reduced cleaning frequency, and visibly cleaner air. The wick’s geometry ensures full tank-to-evaporator contact for even saturation and reliable output. Replacement is fully manual: remove old wick, insert new one vertically into the housing. Recommended change interval is 2–3 months based on average UK household usage (daily 6–8 hrs, moderate water hardness). Always fill with distilled water to prevent sensor interference and ensure accurate water-level detection — if 'F' flashes after installation, verify top cover seating so the vertical rod contacts the sensor fully.
