1200W High-Efficiency Boost Regulator

This high-capacity DC-DC boost regulator delivers up to 1200W of output power (at 60V × 20A) with input compatibility spanning 8–60V DC. Its output voltage is continuously adjustable from 12V to 80V DC, and output current is limited and adjustable from 0.5A to 20A. The unit uses a high-frequency 150kHz switching design and achieves up to 95% conversion efficiency depending on operating conditions. Constructed with a thermally conductive metal chassis and secured using four 3mm mounting screws, it includes solderless output terminals for rapid, secure wiring. Thermal management is prioritised: rated for ambient temperatures from -40°C to +85°C, but sustained operation above 15A or large voltage differentials (e.g. 12V→72V) requires supplemental cooling. Quiescent current remains low at 15mA under typical low-voltage idle conditions. Protection suite includes adjustable overcurrent limiting with automatic foldback (output drops to ≥5A on exceedance), dual short-circuit protection (internal + 20A input fuse), and built-in output backflow prevention — no external diode needed for charging applications. Reverse polarity input protection is not included and must be added externally if required. For applications needing more than 20A, two modules may be operated in parallel — each configured to 15A — delivering up to 30A combined output while retaining individual regulation and protection.
