2 Pack Thumb-Actuated Cord Switch

Set of two identical inline DPST cord switches; each rated 0–250V AC / 2A; matte-finish plastic housing with flame-retardant base; brass contact terminals; compact size (65 × 28 × 22 mm); supplied with M2.5 screws; compatible with standard 2-core flexible cords up to 0.75mm² cross-section. Each unit features a precision-moulded wire channel that aligns cord strands evenly before clamping, reducing point-loading on conductors. The DPST architecture ensures complete circuit separation — critical for safety-conscious users replacing outdated switches or modifying second-hand furniture. Internal damping system maintains switch integrity through repeated use, even in high-cycle environments like craft studios or home workshops. Used extensively for upgrading IKEA-style lamps, vintage lighting restorations, smart-home accessory integration (e.g., placing before smart plugs for manual override), and educational electronics projects. A go-to solution for UK-based sellers, makers and landlords needing dependable, renter-friendly control without rewiring.
