This kit contains two complete float valve assemblies: each comprises a precision-machined metal valve body and a matching silicone gasket cap. Total package weight is minimal; individual gaskets measure 4 cm (1.57 inches) in outer diameter and are moulded for consistent thickness and compression resilience. The metal valve provides structural stability under pressure cycles, while the silicone gasket forms the primary steam-tight barrier between valve stem and lid housing. Over time, repeated thermal cycling and cleaning cause silicone to harden or detach — leading to audible hissing, delayed pressurisation or automatic shutdown.
