32Bit ARM Closed-Loop Stepper Controller

MKS SERVO42C V1.0 is a compact 32-bit ARM-based servo controller board (39 × 35.8 mm) designed for precise motion control in 3D printing applications. It features a Cortex-M0+ microprocessor, supports input voltage from 7V to 28V, and delivers adjustable output current up to 3000 mA. The board integrates a 14-bit magnetic encoder offering 0.08° angle resolution and enables position, speed, and torque closed-loop operation — eliminating step loss even at high speeds up to 1000 RPM. It uses field-oriented control (FOC) for low noise, low vibration, and reduced heat generation. Four half-bridge drivers with eight MOSFETs ensure high operating efficiency. Subdivision support ranges from 1 to 256, including odd values like 11, and the update frequency reaches 10 kHz for position/speed and 20 kHz for torque. Communication is via USART interface for real-time parameter adjustment and monitoring using a serial connection to a computer. Compatible with 0.9° and 1.8° stepper motors, it helps achieve printing speeds of 150–180 mm/s and simplifies wiring and installation.
