40mm Solar Filter Cap Density 5.0

This solar filter cap is designed for safe direct solar observation with telescopes. It features a precision-cut 40mm diameter Baader-type film (density 5.0), housed in a durable plastic frame with an outer objective lens cover diameter of approximately 50mm (2.0 inches). Total weight is just 13.0g (0.5oz). The filter is compatible with Celestron P/A series, Datyson 5T0001/5T0002, Gazer LT70, and Fenghuang F70400M/F70300M telescopes. The high-density neutral coating delivers true-color, neutral-white solar imaging — preserving natural contrast and detail without colour cast. To use: first inspect for light leakage by facing the film toward the sun; only proceed if no leakage is detected. Then securely mount it over the telescope’s objective lens, verify full coverage and stability, and confirm uniform dimming at the eyepiece before observing. Never move or adjust the filter during use, and never use if the film is scratched, punctured, or otherwise damaged.
