5T & 1T Cable Pulling Breakaway Swivel

Physical specs: 5T unit ~12 × 6 × 4 cm; 1T unit ~9 × 4.5 × 3 cm. Total weight approx. 0.8 kg. Load ratings: 5 Ton (11,023 lbs) and 1 Ton (2,204 lbs). Material: high-strength steel with bare silver metal finish — no plastic, rubber or composite components. No stated IP rating or corrosion treatment. Operates by decoupling rotational torque from linear pulling force — allowing cable to unwind naturally as it traverses curved ducts or changes direction over pulleys. Breakaway pin provides irreversible mechanical overload stop; once activated, the pin must be replaced to restore function — a deliberate design choice prioritising reliability over reset convenience. Works with both synthetic and steel-wire pulling ropes, and interfaces directly with standard tension-monitoring shackles. Widely adopted across European telecom operators (Deutsche Telekom, Orange, Telia) and UK utilities for jointless cable pulls up to 1 km in length, particularly where EMI-sensitive instrumentation or legacy copper pairs demand zero torsional distortion during installation.
