8pcs Cerumen & Dust Protection Set

Each wax guard is injection-moulded from medical-appropriate ABS resin and features a symmetrical 3mm disc form with an integrated micro-perforated mesh surface. Wall thickness is precisely controlled at 0.4mm to balance rigidity and flexibility during insertion. Compatible with most UK-sold hearing aids featuring standard 2.8–3.2mm horn openings, including popular models from Starkey, Widex, and Bernafon. Functionally, they act as a first-line defence against cerumen impaction and environmental particulate ingress — two leading reasons for service calls in British audiology clinics. Installation protocol prioritises safety: always inspect horn cleanliness first, apply gentle axial pressure (not twisting), and confirm flush seating visually and by touch. Users are advised to inspect filters monthly and replace proactively if discoloured, flattened, or if hearing aid output noticeably diminishes — particularly important during UK winter months when indoor heating increases ear canal dryness and flaking.
