Turn on the power; the power indicator light will illuminate and the device will begin preheating. After a few seconds, the device is ready for use. 2. Place the loose diamond to be tested into the appropriate recess of the support tray with the table facing upward. For set stones, the tray is not needed; hold the item by hand. 3. Adjust the LED brightness based on the diamonds weight and testing temperature. 4. Remove the needle sheath and hold the device with your right index finger touching the conductive plate on the back cover. Position the probe vertically and gently touch the table of the diamond. 5. Observe the display: if the LED lights move up to nine segments with a beeping sound, the stone is a real diamond. If the lights do not reach nine segments and there is no beeping sound, the stone is likely fake or a simulant.
