Bio-Active Sponge Aquarium Filter

A bio-active sponge filter built for natural, low-intervention aquarium management. Size: ~12 × 6 × 8 cm; weight: 120 g. Includes dual sponges mounted on a rigid central frame with integrated air stone chamber and strong suction cup base. Made from inert, non-leaching polyurethane rated for long-term submersion. Functions exclusively via air lift principle — no wiring, no moving parts. Promotes rapid establishment of nitrifying bacteria colonies due to high surface-area-to-volume ratio and constant water flow across sponge pores. Enhances gas exchange and reduces airborne noise from air pumps. Clean by squeezing and rinsing in old tank water — preserves microbial balance and avoids system crashes.
