Brass Quarter-Turn Tap Spindle Set

Physical specs: Each stem measures approx. 42 mm length × 12 mm diameter; total kit weight ~170 g. Constructed entirely from CW617N grade free-cutting brass — machined for dimensional accuracy and surface finish consistency. Surface: Triple-layer electroplating (Cu/Ni/Cr) applied to ISO 4525 standards, offering >72-hour neutral salt spray resistance. Includes cold-side stem (replaces 002713-40) and hot-side stem (replaces 002714-40), both fitted with quarter-turn valve cores and self-centring spring check assemblies. Targets the root causes of UK domestic tap failures: scale-induced seizure, stem thread deformation from over-torquing, and loss of sealing force due to spring creep. The quarter-turn mechanism reduces cumulative rotational wear by ~75% versus traditional multi-turn designs. Lever-handle interface conforms to BS 5412:1976 mounting dimensions for universal fit with vintage and modern UK tap handles. Designed for longevity in variable water conditions — performs reliably whether installed in soft-water zones (e.g., Scotland) or hard-water areas (e.g., Thames Valley), without requiring recalibration or additional sealing compounds.
