Original equipment manufacturer (OEM) iron pad for the Canon EOS 5D Mark III mode dial. This small but critical component ensures accurate physical indexing and stable rotational performance of the mode selector. Constructed from magnetically responsive low-alloy steel, it interfaces directly with the dial’s internal position sensor and contributes to haptic feedback consistency. Thickness: 1.4 mm; outer diameter: 18.2 mm; central aperture: 3.0 mm; weight: 2.1 g. All units are subjected to functional fit-testing on donor 5D Mark III bodies prior to release. Not a universal part — incompatible with all other Canon DSLRs including 5D series predecessors or successors. Installation requires ESD-safe handling and torque-controlled reassembly to prevent flex cable pinch or PCB solder joint stress.
