Compact Pin-Type Moisture Tester

A portable, pin-based digital moisture meter designed for precise on-site assessment of wood and building materials. Measures 6–70% moisture in lumber (hardwood and softwood), and 0–15.6% in drywall, plaster, masonry and similar substrates. Equipped with durable stainless-steel pins that insert into surfaces for deeper, more representative readings than surface-only pinless alternatives. Its ergonomic, lightweight plastic housing features non-slip side grips and fits naturally in the palm — optimised for one-handed operation during prolonged inspections. The backlit LCD screen shows results to 0.1% resolution, remaining readable even in poorly lit environments such as basements or wall cavities. Includes a protective cap for pin safety and longevity, plus an automatic shut-off (10-minute idle timeout) and data hold function for flexible, hands-free recording.
