Current Transformer Sensor 400A/5A AC Split Core CT

Current Transformer Sensor for Clamp-On Installation, 400 A This current transformer sensor is designed for clamp-on installation and is rated at 400 A with a 5 A secondary output. It operates as an open-type alternating current transformer, making it straightforward to fit around an existing conductor without the need to disconnect the circuit. The sensor is suitable for use in AC current measurement applications where a reliable, non-invasive installation is preferred. Simple Installation and Reliable AC Measurement The open-type design allows the sensor to be clamped directly onto the cable or busbar, which simplifies retrofitting into existing electrical panels or distribution boards. With a primary rating of 400 A and a secondary output of 5 A, this CT sensor provides a practical solution for monitoring alternating current in industrial or commercial settings. Its construction is intended for secure attachment, helping to maintain consistent measurement performance during routine use. Practical Application for Electrical Monitoring This transformer sensor is well suited for use with metering equipment, protective relays, or energy management systems that accept a standard 5 A secondary signal. By converting a high primary current into a manageable secondary level, it enables safe and convenient current measurement without direct connection to the live conductor. The clamp-on format also supports quicker installation and removal, which can be beneficial during maintenance or system modifications.
