The 2-CH CAN FD HAT is a 2-channel CAN bus expansion HAT designed for Raspberry Pi, supporting CAN FD (CAN with Flexible Data-Rate). It enables CAN bus functionality on your Raspberry Pi, compatible with both the original CAN 2.0 protocol and the CAN FD extension, providing higher data throughput. Equipped with multiple onboard protection circuits, including 500W lightning surge protection, ESD protection, short circuit protection, and electrical isolation, it ensures safer and more reliable communication. Features a standard Raspberry Pi 40-pin GPIO extension header, compatible with Raspberry Pi series boards and Jetson Nano. Supports both traditional CAN2.0 and CAN FD protocols. Breaks out SPI control pins for connection to host control boards such as STM32 or Arduino. Onboard electrical isolation supports up to 5 kV, ensuring stable operation and enhanced anti-interference capability. Includes onboard lightning protection, ESD protection, and short circuit protection for improved safety. Onboard voltage translator allows selection of 3.3V or 5V operating voltage via jumper.
