Dual Function Soil Test Meter

Mechanical analog meter for evaluating soil fertility and pH in one integrated unit. Fertility mode indicates relative NPK sufficiency as 'too little', 'ideal' or 'too much'; pH mode displays values from 1 (strongly acidic) to 9 (strongly alkaline) on a calibrated dial. Operates without batteries or software. Probe assembly consists of three parallel metal electrodes. Designed exclusively for soil — not water or nutrient solutions. Preparation is essential: excavate top 5 cm, process soil to 13 cm depth, remove organic contaminants, then apply minimal moisture using rainwater or distilled water. Fertility test requires ≥60 mm probe insertion and 10-second dwell; pH test requires full probe insertion and 60-second dwell. Wipe probes clean before and after each measurement.
