Durable 1.25 Inch Collimator with 45° View

This collimator is precision-crafted from high-grade aluminum alloy, offering superior rigidity and thermal stability compared to lower-cost alternatives. It is purpose-built for 1.25 inch telescope focusers used with Newtonian reflectors. The fixed 45° angled viewing plate allows users to inspect the collimation pattern without tilting the entire telescope, preserving balance and saving setup time. Its optical design supports precise centre-spot alignment of the secondary mirror relative to the focuser axis and the primary mirror’s central marker—fundamental for delivering diffraction-limited performance. Works seamlessly in home observatories, portable field setups, and educational environments where hands-on demonstration of optical principles is required.
