Manufactured from 6061-T6 aluminum alloy — known for its excellent machinability, tensile strength, and natural oxide layer that resists UK coastal humidity and seasonal condensation. The dovetail groove is CNC-milled to exact Vixen-standard angles (45°±0.5°), ensuring snug fit and zero lateral movement. Designed specifically to elevate refractor telescopes mounted on rings, it increases clearance between the OTA and dovetail bar — crucial when using dew heaters, filter sliders, or motorised focusers that extend below the tube. Tapped holes accept standard M6 (1.0 mm pitch) and 1/4"-20 UNC screws. Package contains one riser block and two screws — one M6 and one 1/4-inch — each supplied in both long and short versions for optimal thread engagement.
