Throwing Star LAN Tap is an Ethernet intranet data analysis device. Adoption of immersion gold plating ensures fast transmission and reduced signal loss. This product is designed for use with 10BASE-T and 100BASE-TX networks. Monitoring ports J3 and J4 are receive-only ports. Usage: 1. Connect the Ethernet cable to be monitored to J1 and J2 of the Throwing Star LAN Tap. 2. Connect an Ethernet cable to J3 or J4 of the Throwing Star LAN Tap; each port captures one direction of data communication. 3. Use network analysis software such as TCPDUMP or Wireshark to capture data on the connected workstation.
