Step 1: Remove the red cap at the end of the probe and turn on the tester. Step 2: Insert the probe 3-5 inches into the soil Step 3: Adjust the probe position until the tester is fixed in the soil to be tested. Step 4: Read the humidity/pH/light level/temperature data in the dial for about 10 seconds. Push the switch on the back to pH or place as needed. Step 5: Remove debris from the soil and wipe clean after each use. Note: Do not place items in liquid for testing. Please note that when measuring light, do not block the light sensor on the top of the meter. If the soil is too dry to measure the pH value, add some water and test again after 30 minutes.
