Many new cable boxes, DVRs, and other electronic devices require dual-band frequencies. Some examples are AT&T U-verse DVRs, Dish Network DVRs, and Denon Receivers. A single-band IR repeater will not work with dual-band devices, but dual-band IR repeaters like this one will work with everything.
