- Function The infrared IR obstacle avoidance sensor module can be used for obstacle avoidance on robots, obstacle detection for vehicles, line counting, and tracking black and white patterns. - How it works The module features a pair of infrared transmitter and receiver tubes. The tubes emit IR light at a fixed frequency. When the sensing direction hits a reflective obstacle, the IR is reflected back and received. After processing by the comparator circuit, a green indicator lights up. At the same time, a digital low-level signal is emitted from the signal output interface. - Adjustable range and angle Sensing distance: 2 to 30 cm Sensing angle: 35 degrees - Easy integration The OUT sensor module output can be connected directly to a microcontroller IO port, allowing direct control of a 5V relay. - Use scenarios 1) Autonomous robots navigating environments with obstacle avoidance to prevent collisions. 2) Small vehicles or parking assist systems that require simple obstacle sensing and a low-level output signal. 3) Line-following or line-counting projects that detect contrasts on black/white patterns.
