Lightweight ADXL345 Accelerometer Module

A fully assembled 3-axis digital accelerometer module centred on the ADXL345 sensor, offering ±16g measurement range with 13-bit resolution. Encased in lightweight ABS plastic, size is approximately 20mm × 15mm × 5mm and mass under 3g. Powered from 2.0–3.6V DC. Communication options: I²C (default, with 4.7kΩ pull-ups) or SPI (selectable via solder jumper or trace cut). Compatible with 3.3V and 5V logic levels without level shifters. Provides direct access to acceleration data, motion interrupts (free-fall, tap, activity), and internal FIFO — all configurable via standard register reads/writes. Includes hardware interrupt pins (INT1/INT2) for responsive event handling. Designed for longevity in repeated prototype iterations and embedded deployments. Applied in mobile robotics for terrain-adaptive locomotion, in rehabilitation gloves for joint-angle feedback, and in predictive maintenance systems where early-stage vibration or tilt deviation signals equipment degradation before catastrophic failure.
