This ankle foot orthosis (AFO) support is made from durable plastic components with a soft fleece lining for comfort. It measures approximately 32 cm in length (size M, adjustable via trimming), weighs just 180 g, and features an ultra-thin, low-arch profile designed to fit discreetly under most standard footwear. The half-palm design leaves the forefoot and metatarsal area unrestricted, preserving natural foot movement while delivering targeted support at the ankle and hindfoot. It is clinically intended for functional management of foot drop resulting from plantar muscle weakness or peripheral nerve palsy — such as post-stroke hemiplegia — by preventing excessive ankle pronation and promoting safer, more upright gait mechanics during daily ambulation and rehabilitation.
