M3-M10 HSS Drill Tap Set Hex

6-piece combination tap set with 1/4 inch (6.2 mm) hex shank drive. Constructed from high speed steel for strength, hardness and corrosion resistance. Sizes included: M3, M4, M5, M6, M8 and M10. Features straight flutes with spiral taper profile, self-centring tip and countersunk head geometry. Enables full-cycle processing — drilling, tapping, deburring and countersinking — in one pass on soft substrates including wood, plastic, thin aluminium and copper sheets (5–6 mm max). Not recommended for steel or hardened materials. Cooling is essential: water or lubricating oil must be applied during operation to avoid thermal degradation of the cutting edges; if cooling is impractical, lower RPM and intermittent use are advised.
