Magnetic Double Spool Wood Winder

This wooden yarn winder is precision-crafted from solid natural wood, delivering a dense, crack-resistant structure with a tactile smooth surface. Dimensions: Ø18 cm × H6 cm; weight: 420 g. Its core innovation lies in the dual-spindle design paired with powerful magnetic coupling — each spool attaches instantly and rotates independently without slipping. The base integrates functional storage: a linear slot fits standard scissors and marker clips, while three adjacent recessed sections hold small tools like darning needles, cable needles, and progress keepers. The magnetic connection eliminates mechanical fasteners or screws, allowing quick spool swaps and silent, low-friction rotation — critical when winding delicate fibres like silk blends or hand-dyed gradients that snag easily. Two spools mean no pausing mid-skein to change bobbins, especially valuable when preparing multiple strands for intarsia or modular knitting. Ideal for winding full 100g–200g hanks into centre-pull cakes, supporting both casual hobbyists and professional pattern testers who require reproducible tension and minimal handling. Also widely adopted in UK-based knitting circles and craft schools for its stability on laminate tables and compatibility with common UK-sized accessories.
