MT8870 DTMF Decoder Board With STD Pin

This MT8870-based DTMF decoding module implements the full Dual-Tone Multi-Frequency detection standard in a ready-to-use through-hole format. Physical build: FR-4 PCB with gold-plated through-hole pads and 16-pin DIP layout (20 mm × 30 mm), weighing approximately 5 g. Core functionality includes analog signal conditioning, high/low group frequency separation, digital decoding, and parallel 4-bit binary output (Q1–Q4). Features a dedicated STD (Signal Tone Detected) pin that asserts high only when a valid DTMF tone is fully recognised and latched — enabling deterministic microcontroller triggering. Two integrated LEDs indicate power status and active decoding state. Comes with 0.1-inch pitch male header pins for secure, solder-free connection to development boards and test fixtures.
