You may also have accessories like signals or lights that run on electricity, including operation of your points. This point motor from Peco mounts under the baseboard and has an operating pin that passes through an elongated hole in the baseboard and fits into the hole in the tie-bar of the point. It requires a pulse of electricity to operate and this can easily be provided via a Peco PL-26 passing contact switch.
