Press-Action Brass Basin Drain Plug

Size: Matches standard UK basin waste outlets (verify exact diameter before purchase; allowance ±1–3 cm). Build: Entirely brass — no plastic internals or plating — delivering density, weight balance and surface hardness for long-term durability. Thermal rating: Certified for continuous exposure between -40°C and +120°C. Core function: Brass-sprung toggle action — push once to close, push again to open — with progressive resistance and audible ‘click’ feedback confirming engagement. Mounting: Screw-fit only; compatible with BS standard 1½-inch BSP threaded waste bodies. Serviceability: Slotted bolt permits full separation of upper plug, lower seal and spring core for targeted cleaning or gasket replacement. Use case: Primarily intended for domestic handwashing stations and secondary kitchen prep sinks — intercepts fibres and food particles before they reach U-bends or S-traps.
