PT1000 Temp Sensor Silicone 1.5M

This 2-wire PT1000 temperature sensor uses a platinum sensing element housed in a 45 mm × 5 mm metal probe, fully insulated with flexible, high-temperature silicone rubber. With a total cable length of 1.5 metres, it delivers accurate resistance-based temperature measurement from -50°C up to +180°C. The connector end features a standard plastic housing designed for secure termination in industrial terminal blocks or controller input sockets. It complies with the fundamental principles of RTD measurement: resistance increases predictably and linearly with temperature (1000 Ω at 0°C, ~3.85 Ω/°C average slope), enabling straightforward interpretation by any compatible measuring device. No calibration certificate is supplied, but the unit conforms functionally to EN 60751 Class B tolerances. Typical usage spans UK domestic and commercial applications: solar thermal collector monitoring, buffer tank temperature feedback, frost protection in condensing boiler returns, dosing pump temperature interlocks, and environmental alarms in server rooms or archives — all leveraging the superior long-term stability and repeatability of platinum RTDs over time and temperature cycles.
