Robust Recoil Starter Assembly

Engineered for reliability in demanding small-engine applications, this recoil starter assembly combines high-grade metal alloy brackets with a rigid PA6 thermoplastic reinforced with 30% glass fibre (GF30). The result is a lightweight yet stiff structure that resists flexing under load and maintains alignment between the rope drum and starter cup. It weighs 275–285 g depending on batch, and its compact footprint allows installation in tight engine bays without compromising airflow or service access. Designed exclusively for Kohler CH260 and CH270 series, it interfaces directly with stock flywheels and requires no adjustment. The internal recoil mechanism is pre-lubricated and sealed against dust ingress — supporting long intervals between maintenance while retaining smooth operation across UK climate variations.
