Rubber-Grip Sewing Elastic 1 Inch

This 1-inch (2.5 cm) wide elastic band comes in a 4.57 m (5-yard) roll and is specifically designed for sewing-intensive applications. Its key innovation is four longitudinal rubber gripping stripes on one surface — engineered to increase coefficient of friction against woven and knitted fabrics without adding stiffness. The base elastic fabric offers balanced elongation and recovery, resisting permanent stretch-out even after prolonged use. Cut edges remain flat and do not unravel or curl, supporting clean seam allowances and machine-friendly feed. Storage is simplified by rolling and fastening with pins or tape. Commonly applied in British and European home-sewing circles for wig foundations, underwear waistbands, tailored trousers, gym wear, swimwear hems, and decorative belt loops — wherever secure, invisible hold matters.
