Soft-Hand Double-Sided Hemming Web Tape

A fine-gauge, heat-activated hemming web tape made from hot-melt polymer mesh. Width: 10 mm. Length: 5 m. Characterised by its exceptionally soft hand feel, high initial tack, and balanced peel strength. Engineered for precision application on thin, high-grade fashion fabrics — particularly where visual neatness and tactile comfort are critical. Offers rapid thermal activation and permanent adhesion without stiffening or discolouration. The tape functions by melting micro-filaments upon contact with controlled heat, fusing into both fabric surfaces simultaneously. Its open structure prevents adhesive bleed-through, even on ultra-lightweight or loosely woven materials. No curing time required — bond sets instantly upon cooling. Ideal for professional tailors and home sewists alike: used for blind hems on formal shirts, rolled hems on silk skirts, edge binding on knit tops, and quick fixes on socks or cuffs. Also widely adopted in small-batch garment production and textile-based arts education across the UK, where safety, repeatability, and minimal tooling are priorities.
