Tire Pressure Monitoring System Reset Tool for Universal TPMS Applications
For GM vehicles equipped with a 315 or 433 MHz Tire Pressure Monitoring (TPM) system, a "Sensor Relearn Procedure" must be performed after tire rotation, remote lock receiver module replacement, or tire pressure sensor replacement. This relearning process can be performed using the special tool EL-50448. Also applies to 2014 GM models. Tire pressure sensors on 2012 and later models can only be read using certain designated diagnostic tools.
Before the tire pressure monitoring system works normally, the body control module will record the ID information of each tire pressure sensor position. After replacing the tire or wheel speed sensor, use the following method to read the tire pressure sensor ID. For the specific method, please refer to the following: Step 1 - Enter the tilt mode and place the shift lever in "P". After the learning is completed, the turn signal light will illuminate for 3 seconds and the horn will beep twice.
For some vehicles equipped with a tire pressure monitoring (TPM) system, after replacing the tire remote lock receiver module or replacing the tire pressure sensor, a "sensor relearning procedure" must be performed. This relearning procedure can be performed using the special tool 50448.
Compatible Vehicles List: For trucks and cars. Simple and effective solution for resetting tire pressure sensors. Much better than going to a dealer or tire shop to reset the pressure sensor. Use on multiple vehicles; resets all four wheels in minutes.
Properly showing low battery display: The tool allows accurate positioning recognition on the dashboard display. Reprogramming takes only seconds, ensuring correct tire identification when pressure is low. This tool should be standard equipment for vehicle maintenance.
Easy to use: Operation is simple and clear. Put the vehicle in reset mode and press the button on the unit as instructed in the owner's manual. Performs exactly as intended without issues.
For 2010 and older vehicles, a large magnet may be used to reset the tire pressure sensor. For 2011 and newer models, including 2013 Silverado, this dedicated tool is required. Works reliably and as expected.
GM Coverage: The deflation method is validated on a Volt 2011 using the EL-50448 TPMS relearn tool. Can program up to 4 TPMS sensors in under a minute. EL-50448 is compatible with GM models from 2010 to 2013. Charger and battery are not included.
