Tone Generator Wire Tracer Probe Kit

Professional cable tracing kit comprising transmitter, receiver, RJ11 test cable, and alligator-clip lead. Unit size: 14.5 × 6.5 × 3.5 cm; weight per unit ~160 g. Total kit weight ~320 g. Made from durable ABS polymer and metal contact points. Operates on two 9V batteries (not supplied). Intended solely for testing de-energised telephone, coaxial, automotive and low-voltage data cables — never for use on live circuits. Tone mode transmits a continuous audio signal down a selected wire, enabling the receiver to detect and follow it through partitions, cavities or conduits using only one attachment point. Continuity mode confirms electrical continuity or identifies breaks/shorts using the RJ11 connector and dual alligator clips — particularly useful for fault-finding on multi-point telephone systems. Adjustable sensitivity helps eliminate interference from adjacent cables. Widely adopted by independent telecom engineers, caravan maintenance specialists, and property maintenance teams needing dependable, battery-operated diagnostics — especially where access is limited or documentation is missing.
