VDO Water Temperature Sensor with 1/2" NPT Thread and Alarm Switch for Generator Sets

This VDO water temperature sensor is engineered for generator sets and crude oil engines. It operates on a resistance-based principle, where resistance decreases as temperature rises and increases as it falls. The sensor has an operational range of 0-120°C and features an integrated alarm switch that activates at 97°C (±2°C). When this alarm temperature is reached, the switch closes to trigger a warning light, which turns off once the temperature drops and the switch reopens, with a response time of approximately one second. The sensor has two wires: one for connection to a water temperature gauge for real-time parameter display and the other for the alarm circuit. Constructed from durable metal with a 21mm size and a standard 1/2" NPT thread for secure installation. Package includes one water temperature sensor.
