Description

1. The VL6180X implements a proximity sensor based on the timeofflight (ToF) measurement principle. It incorporates a SPAD detector array that detects the time taken for a single photon to travel from the target and back, combined with amplitude calculations. This enables accurate distance measurement regardless of the object's reflectivity, and it can also facilitate simple yet reliable onedimensional gesture control. 2. The ambient light sensor offers sensitivity and precision even in very lowlight conditions, with a wide detection dynamic range and Luxcorrected output. All components supporting the proximity sensor and ambient light sensor are integrated into a single optical package. The embedded design eliminates the need for mechanical spacers or additional lens systems. 3. The VL6180X is a 3in1 optoelectronic device that combines a verticalcavity surfaceemitting infrared light source, a proximity sensor, and an ambient light sensor (ALS).
