Dimensions: Compatible with standard UK brass tap bodies (1/2" BSP thread, 12 mm hex drive). Weight: 85 g per stem; 170 g total. Material: Solid CW617N brass, fully machined and electroplated to BS EN ISO 4525 Class 2C specifications. Package includes one cold-side stem assembly (OEM replacement for 002713-40) and one hot-side stem assembly (OEM replacement for 002714-40), each integrating a quarter-turn ceramic-compatible valve core and spring-assisted check system. Developed for real-world UK repair scenarios — tested across 12+ common brass tap models found in post-war council housing, Victorian conversions and 1980s–90s developments. Addresses chronic issues like intermittent dripping after handle release, uneven hot/cold response, and audible ‘gritty’ rotation caused by internal scale or metal fatigue. The brass construction ensures compatibility with existing gland nuts, O-rings and escutcheon plates without modification. Installation aligns with Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS)-aligned best practices — no soldering, no system draining beyond isolation valves, and full compliance with Part G of the UK Building Regulations for sanitary convenience installations.
